2. In a paltry life there is a limit to how much one can affect the people in the next country, or the next block, much less change the course of history, so aspire to live carefree
3. Meaningless, meaningless! Everything is meaningless

Right now, if you are my only reason to work hard, God, then let that be enough.

I have no idea why our competition law teacher is subjecting himself to having to read 6000 words of rubbish from every student. You would think he'd want to give us a lower wordcount for an easier time. I'm trying really hard to give him something I would find worth reading! *rolls* How to tie together all the concepts...

The Lord will surely comfort Zion and will look with compassion on all her ruins; he will make her deserts like Eden, her wastelands like the garden of the Lord. Joy and gladness will be found in her, thanksgiving and the sound of singing.

Isaiah 51:3

Sometimes after a period of imaginary rolling, I think to myself, "Onward, Alaris!"

I declare to you, brothers and sisters, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable. Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed— in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality. When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: “Death has been swallowed up in victory."

1 Corinthians 15:50-54.

How often do people feel quite so mad? Inexplicable, but I think this self-inflicted suffering is the greatest reason I am able to empathise with others. It is in understanding others that I try to understand how I can be the way I am.

I wish to be steady and consistent. But if that was my base instinct, then perhaps I wouldn't be half as interesting as I suppose I am. I must just have faith, that this is all for the better.

It occurs to me that as I live in my mind a lot, I sometimes do not let it be known how much I am affected by people. As I write to speak from my heart, I have decided to record here that many of the people I have met are written in the architecture of my mind.

Therefore, in order to keep me from becoming conceited, I was given a thorn in my flesh, a messenger of Satan, to torment me. Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
2 Corinthians 12:7-10

I don't know if I'll ever get to this stage.

God says, love one another as I have loved you.

I think that I have learnt that true understanding may be impossible between many people, based on 1) how different they are 2) lack of time in this physical world 3) pure lack of wanting to find out more about each other.

I'm trying to figure out what God means by this then. How do we love someone we do not understand fully? Do feelings have to come into it at all, or is acting on obedience alone enough, if one carries out acts for the person to benefit them in the long run? Need there be true acceptance in the heart, after having learnt the other person's soul, or is faith in that existence of a soul enough?
